Who divided the bible into chapter divisions

The bible was not originally written with chapter divisions , they were made by a man named Robert Stephanus during the 16th century, the aim was to make it easy for people to find and read from the same text without struggling to find the passage, that is why today we are able to quote from any passage in scripture and everyone can identify where the passage is quoted from.

The chapter divisions are not inspired but the texts are, these divisions are helpful sometimes as they do assist us in our reading. The authors of both the New and Old Testament didn't write the texts the way they are arranged today and sometimes and not in most cases the chapter divisions wrongly divided, especially in passages where the chapter begins by the words “therefore”, i.e Romans 8:1
